Job Description
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Lab round/ check cleanliness/ proper BMW segregation.
- Prepare manpower duty roaster in accordance with the requirements of the section/lab in consultation with Labhead to ensure smooth running of the lab.
- Daily review of QC results/ L Js, making decisions in accessing caliberation / control / acceptability of analytical runs.
- Monthly analysis of QC data/ CV %/ Lab mean calculation
- Run EQAP samples and submit results on time. In case of outliars do CAPA within time as per sop.
- Record/maintain /submit IDSP/ government data on time.
- In case of notifiable diseases, ensure to follow government guidelines maintain records (IDSP/Nikshay portal)
- Daily review and sign all Logs.
- Supervising the functioning and maintenance of instruments.
- Maintain records and follow timely PM of instruments/ service reports/ timely calibration of instruments.
- Validation of new tests introduced.
- Coordination with engineers, materials and IT department for the requirement of the section/lab.
- Ensure proper functioning of the sections by maintaining proper coordination between all the processes including specimen
- collection, accessioning of specimen, perform the test and report on time.
- Perform routine and specialized tests and identify problem samples.
- Critical call outs to attend physicians/ staff.
- Follow up PSNs and close the same.
- Organize and store reagents as per safety instructions, record reagent receiving date/ temperature / check expiry.
- Ensure proper maintenance of material consumption, weekly inventory management, no wastage.
- Conduct monthly stock verification activity in timely manner.
- Preparation of monthly consumption and work-in progress reports.
- Raising all PR/ material requisition in the section/ lab.
- Maintaining and updating cost/test/ WIP/ statistics.
- Ensure that quality/ accuracy/ safety and TAT maintained as per norms.
- Solving technical problems of technical staffs, addressing queries from CCG / clinicians in regards to the tests.
- On the job training of scientific staffs.
- Participate/ attend training/ staff meetings/ other activities, maintain discipline.
- Any other responsibilities assigned by management.
