Senior Officer-Purchase

Role & responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement of critical raw materials including Chrome Ore, Coke, Coal, Quartz, Electrodes, and other plant consumables.
• Develop, evaluate, and maintain a reliable vendor base to ensure uninterrupted supply and competitive sourcing.
• Conduct price negotiations, commercial evaluation, contract finalization, and cost optimization with suppliers.
• Monitor commodity prices, market trends, supplier capacity, lead times, and supply risks to support effective procurement decisions.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard service providers for plant operations, maintenance, logistics, and other support services.
• Prepare and manage RFQs/RFPs, evaluate technical and commercial bids, negotiate terms, and finalize purchase/service contracts.
• Manage CAPEX procurement for plant expansion, machinery, equipment, infrastructure, and other capital projects.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Projects, Maintenance, Operations, and Finance teams to finalize technical specifications, commercial requirements, and delivery schedules.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment in line with project and operational requirements.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, approval processes, audit requirements, statutory regulations, and internal controls.
• Maintain accurate purchase orders, contracts, vendor records, procurement documentation, and MIS.

Candidates should have relevant experience in Manufacturing, Metal & Mining , Power, Ferro Alloys, Steel industries.
