Job Description: Sales Manager Micro & Enterprise Lending (MEL)Position Overview
We are seeking a highly driven and results-oriented Sales Manager to lead our Micro & Enterprise Lending (MEL) vertical. You will be responsible for driving the direct sourcing, acquisition, and portfolio management of MSME loans, LAP (Loan Against Property), and working capital facilities for micro-enterprises and SMEs. Your ultimate goal is to achieve disbursement targets while maintaining strict credit quality and managing delinquency rates. [1, 2, 3]Key Responsibilities

  • Target Achievement: Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual disbursement and revenue targets for MEL products. [1, 2, 3]
  • Client Acquisition: Source, evaluate, and acquire new corporate/MSME clients through direct sales efforts, market mapping, and leveraging existing networks. [1, 2]
  • Financial & Risk Assessment: Undertake preliminary financial analysis (balance sheet, P&L, cash flows) to determine the borrowing capacity and financial health of the applicant. [1, 2]
  • Credit Evaluation: Conduct thorough field investigations (FI) and personal discussions (PD) with promoters to assess creditworthiness and business intent. [1]
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor a team of Sales Officers/Relationship Managers to maximize productivity and ensure high-quality lead generation. [1, 2]
  • Portfolio & Delinquency Management: Monitor portfolio health, proactively identify potential risks, and ensure timely collections and minimal delinquency. [1, 2]
  • Relationship Management: Build long-term relationships with borrowers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, retention, and referral generation. [1, 2]

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field; MBA is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 to 6 years of proven experience in direct sales within the NBFC or Banking sector, specifically handling MSME, MEL, or LAP loans.
  • Product Knowledge: Strong understanding of credit assessment, working capital limits, term loans, and secured/unsecured lending products.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills. Proficiency in local languages is highly advantageous. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]
