Mainframe Developer

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL programming language.
  
• Create and execute JCL jobs to process data on IBM System z/OS platforms.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and implement solutions.
  
• Troubleshoot issues related to CICS transactions, VSAM datasets, IMS databases, and other mainframe systems.
  
• Ensure high-quality deliverables by adhering to coding standards and best practices.
  

Desired Candidate Profile

• 4-6 years of experience in developing mainframe applications using COBOL programming language.
  
• Strong understanding of JCL (Job Control Language) concepts for job scheduling and execution on IBM System z/OS platforms.
  
• Proficiency in working with various mainframe technologies such as CICS (Customer Information Centered Services), VSAM (Virtual Storage Access Method), IMS (Information Management System).
  
• Experience with database management systems like DB2/IMS DB2.
