Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Developer with strong expertise in COBOL, JCL, and DB2 to support and enhance critical banking applications. The ideal candidate should have experience working in banking projects, handling production support, development, maintenance, and enhancement activities in a mainframe environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze, develop, test, and maintain Mainframe applications.
• Work on COBOL programs, JCL jobs, and DB2 database objects.
• Perform impact analysis, coding, unit testing, and deployment activities.
• Support batch processing, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Collaborate with business analysts, testers, and cross-functional teams.
• Handle production incidents and participate in release management activities.
• Ensure compliance with banking security and regulatory standards.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in COBOL, JCL, DB2.
• Experience in Mainframe application development and support.
• Good understanding of batch processing and file handling.
• Experience in debugging, performance tuning, and code optimization.
• Knowledge of SDLC, Change Management, and Incident Management processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to CICS, VSAM, Endevor/Changeman.
• Banking domain experience (Retail Banking, Commercial Banking, Payments, Cards, Loans, Deposits).
• Experience with Agile methodologies.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
