Job Description

Job Title: HR Business Partner Loan Against Property (LAP)
Location: Bangalore (with regular travel across assigned states)
Department: Human Resources
Reports to: Head HRBP
Span: 4-5 states | ~100 branches | field + branch workforce

Role Summary

We are looking for a seasoned HR Business Partner to own the end-to-end people agenda for our Loan Against Property business across 45 states and a network of roughly 100 branches. This is a hands-on, field-facing role partnering closely with regional and cluster business leadership to drive manpower fulfilment, employee lifecycle management, engagement, retention, and HR compliance across a large, distributed sales and operations workforce. The ideal candidate has done exactly this before managed HR for a comparable multi-state, high-branch-count secured lending or NBFC/banking business

Key Responsibilities

Business Partnering & Workforce Planning

  • Act as the single point of HR contact for regional business leaders across the assigned states, translating business goals into people plans.
  • Drive manpower planning, budgeting, and productivity-linked headcount decisions for the branch and field sales network.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure timely fulfilment of high-volume frontline and branch roles across all locations.

Employee Lifecycle Management (End-to-End)

  • Own the full employee lifecycle onboarding, confirmation, transfers, promotions, movements, and exits for the entire assigned population.
  • Ensure smooth onboarding and early-tenure engagement to reduce early attrition in field and branch roles.
  • Manage the full-and-final and exit process, including exit analysis and insights back to the business.

Retention, Engagement & Performance

  • Diagnose and act on attrition trends across states and branches; design and execute targeted retention interventions for high-turnover roles.
  • Drive engagement initiatives, connect sessions, skip-levels, and pulse checks across a geographically spread workforce.
  • Support the performance management cycle goal-setting, reviews, PIPs, and talent identification in partnership with line managers.

Employee Relations & IR

  • Handle grievances, disciplinary matters, misconduct cases, and investigations across branches, ensuring fair and consistent process.
  • Manage industrial relations and statutory HR compliance across multiple states (Shops & Establishments, labour laws, POSH, etc.).

HR Operations & Analytics

  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of HR data, payroll inputs, and MIS across the region.
  • Track and report key HR metrics — attrition, fulfilment TAT, span of control, cost of hire, tenure — and present actionable insights to business and HR leadership.
  • Drive adoption of HR policies, processes, and systems consistently across all branches.

Must-Have Experience (Non-Negotiable)

  • Proven experience managing HRBP responsibilities across 4–5 states simultaneously.
  • Prior handling of a branch network of approximately 100 branches (or comparable scale).
  • End-to-end HRBP ownership — business partnering, lifecycle, ER/IR, engagement, retention, and compliance (not a single-vertical or COE-only background).
  • Direct experience in Loan Against Property / secured lending / NBFC / banking / fintech lending or a similar high-volume, distributed field-sales business.

Qualifications & Experience

  • MBA / PGDM from Tier-1 institutes preferred
  • 4-7 Years of progressive HR experience, with a substantial portion in a multi-state, high-branch-count HRBP role.
  • Based in Bangalore, with willingness to travel extensively across the assigned states.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong business acumen and ability to influence senior business stakeholders.
  • Comfort with scale, ambiguity, and a fast-paced field environment.
  • Data-driven approach to attrition, productivity, and workforce decisions.
  • Sound knowledge of labour laws and statutory compliance across states.
  • High ownership, resilience, and hands-on execution style.
