Job Description
Role & responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of corporate strategy, annual strategic plans, and long-term growth priorities.
- Partner with the CEO, CXOs, and business heads to evaluate strategic opportunities and support critical business decisions.
- Conduct market sizing, industry analysis, competitor benchmarking, customer analysis, and opportunity assessments.
- Develop business cases, financial models, scenario analyses, and investment cases to support strategic initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for revenue growth, market expansion, cost optimization, portfolio diversification, and new business development.
- Evaluate potential M&A, partnerships, joint ventures, and strategic investments.
- Translate strategic objectives into actionable roadmaps, initiatives, KPIs, and execution plans.
- Track performance of strategic initiatives and provide regular updates and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Lead cross-functional strategic projects involving finance, sales, marketing, operations, product, technology, and other business functions.
- Prepare executive-level presentations, board materials, strategy papers, and management dashboards.
- Manage and mentor analysts, associates, and strategy team members.
- Support business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic resource-allocation decisions.
- Build relationships with external advisors, industry experts, partners, and other strategic stakeholders.
Preferred candidate profile
- 6 to 11 years of experience in corporate strategy, management/strategy consulting, investment banking, business transformation, strategic planning, or a related field.
- Proven experience in corporate strategy, growth strategy, market assessment, business planning, or strategic transformation.
- Strong ability to independently structure and solve complex, ambiguous business problems.
- Demonstrated experience working with CXOs, business heads, senior management, and cross-functional leadership teams.
- Strong proficiency in financial modelling, business case development, market sizing, competitive analysis, and data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent strategic thinking, analytical reasoning, communication, executive presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to translate complex analysis into clear strategic recommendations and actionable business plans.
- Strong project-management skills with the ability to manage multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and collaborate with cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Commercially oriented with strong understanding of P&L, revenue drivers, profitability, capital allocation, and business economics.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of Power BI/Tableau, SQL, analytics, and AI tools is an advantage.
- MBA/PGDM from a reputed institution preferred; bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Business, Finance, Statistics, or a related discipline.
- Candidates with experience at leading consulting firms, investment banks, corporate strategy teams, or high-growth companies will be preferred.
- High ownership, executive maturity, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.
