Conduct laboratory tests to study tissues and fluids of the body to diagnose diseases and disordersAnalyze and interpret laboratory test results to provide accurate diagnosesAdvise on the best course of treatment based on laboratory test resultsConsult with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, surgeons, and radiologists, to provide effective treatment plans for patientsParticipate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure effective laboratory operations and patient careMaintain accurate laboratory records and follow regulatory and accreditation requirementsCommunicate with patients and their families to discuss diagnoses and treatment plans
