• Conduct laboratory tests to study tissues and fluids of the body to diagnose diseases and disorders
• Analyze and interpret laboratory test results to provide accurate diagnoses
• Advise on the best course of treatment based on laboratory test results
• Consult with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, surgeons, and radiologists, to provide effective treatment plans for patients
• Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure effective laboratory operations and patient care
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and follow regulatory and accreditation requirements
• Communicate with patients and their families to discuss diagnoses and treatment plans
