Consultant Oncopathology- Histopathology Expert in IHC

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Responsible for laboratory procedures to manage, supervise, conduct, and analyse diagnostic services related to Histo-Cytopathology including Immunohistochemistry
• Evaluation and Interpretation of findings with preparation of written report of Histo-Cytopathology including Immunohistochemistry
• Analyse, determine with preparation of written report of routine laboratory investigation like Biochemistry , CBC, PBF, Clinical pathology
• Analyse, determine, FNAC, Punch Biopsy, Resection Biopsy, fluid Cytology, Frozen Sections and suggests the test results as per prescribed norms.
• Ensuring implementation of SOPs and protocols including instruments, tests performed in the lab, safe practices in laboratory to ensure hygiene of work areas etc.
• Carrying out the routine task and proper coordination of work for the smooth running of the department.
• Provide training to colleagues and Subordinate staff in coordination with Quality Manager.
• Take part in teaching Programme & provide teaching to DNB/PDCC Students, Senior Resident & guide them for thesis/ Research work.
• Follows code of professional ethics & implementing good lab practices by providing training as needed, develop work plan, procedures and ensure their implementation in all day to day Lab Operations.
• Validating QC Records on daily basis & handover the same to Quality Manager.
• Verify & implementing corrective and preventive action in technical areas.
• Verifying results and signing final test reports.
• Rerun of test if any discrepancy is noticed or to cross verify the results.
• Controlling further processing of NC until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
• Designing and implementing quality control calibration and equipment maintenance program.
• If Possible -Analyse, determine Bone marrow aspiration, Biopsy, Molecular Pathology and suggests the test results as per prescribed norms.
• Follow BMCHRC rules & regulations.
• Any other professional work assigned by management from time to time
