Job Description

SMT Equipment Maintenance

  • Ensure high uptime and efficiency of SMT lines (Printer, SPI, Pick & Place, Reflow Oven, AOI, Wave Soldering)
  • Develop and implement preventive & predictive maintenance plans.
  • Drive breakdown analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain critical spares inventory and reduce MTTR (Mean Time to Repair).
  • Coordinate with OEMs/vendors for upgrades, troubleshooting, and AMCs.

Testing Equipment Maintenance & Reliability

  • Lead maintenance of: EV testing machines (functional, endurance, validation testing setups)
  • ICT (In-Circuit Testing) machines (Selective soldering machines, Wave soldering machines, Robotic automation systems, Press-fit machines).
  • Flushing equipment (leak testing, cleaning, fluid circulation systems)
  • Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).

Budgeting & Cost Control

  • Prepare and manage maintenance & utility budgets.
  • Optimize maintenance costs without impacting performance.
  • Control energy and consumable costs.

Clean Room & Environmental Control

  • Maintain clean room standards (for PCB and electronics assembly areas).
  • Ensure control of ESD, temperature, humidity, and particulate levels.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards for electronics manufacturing.

Energy Management & Cost Optimization

  • Drive energy-saving initiatives and cost reduction projects.
  • Monitor KPIs like specific energy consumption.
  • Implement automation and digital monitoring systems for utilities.

Project Management

  • Lead Maintenance & utility-related capex projects (installation, expansion, upgrades).
  • Commission new equipment and ensure smooth integration with production.
  • Vendor selection, technical evaluation, and contract management

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations (electrical safety, pollution control, boiler regulations, etc.).
  • Drive safety initiatives across utility operations.
  • Ensure adherence to ISO standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, etc.).

TPM & Equipment Reliability

  • Implement TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) practices
  • Drive OEE improvement initiatives for SMT lines
  • Improve MTBF and MTTR.
  • Ensure robust planned and autonomous maintenance culture.

Team Leadership & Capability Building

  • Lead and develop maintenance & utility team.
  • Build a problem-solving, data-driven, and ownership-based culture.
  • Drive training on automotive quality mindset, discipline, and standardization.

Digitalization

  • Implement Industry 4.0 practices for utility monitoring
  • Use data analytics for predictive maintenance and efficiency improvement.
