Senior Technology Consultant

Role & responsibilities

• Lead technology consulting engagements from discovery and assessment through solution design, implementation, and transformation.
• Understand client business objectives, technology landscape, pain points, and strategic priorities.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and cost-effective technology solutions.
• Develop technology strategies, target architectures, transformation roadmaps, and implementation plans.
• Conduct current-state assessments and identify opportunities for technology modernization, optimization, automation, and digital transformation.
• Design enterprise, solution, cloud, integration, application, and data architectures based on project requirements.
• Evaluate technologies, platforms, vendors, and architectural options and provide recommendations supported by business cases.
• Lead cloud adoption and migration initiatives across AWS, Azure, GCP, or hybrid-cloud environments.
• Drive application modernization initiatives involving microservices, APIs, containers, Kubernetes, DevOps, and cloud-native architectures.
• Work with client stakeholders to define requirements, solution options, technical specifications, project scope, and expected outcomes.
• Collaborate with engineering, architecture, data, security, infrastructure, product, and business teams to deliver consulting solutions.
• Prepare solution architecture documents, technical proposals, RFP/RFI responses, estimates, business cases, and executive presentations.
• Conduct technology assessments, gap analysis, technical due diligence, and architecture reviews.
• Identify technical risks, dependencies, security concerns, scalability issues, and implementation challenges and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Support project and program managers with technical planning, estimation, resource requirements, dependencies, and delivery governance.
• Ensure solutions comply with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, regulatory, data privacy, and technology governance standards.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to consultants, developers, architects, and engineering teams.
• Engage with senior client stakeholders and communicate complex technology concepts in clear business terms.
• Support pre-sales activities, including solutioning, proposal development, presentations, client workshops, and technology demonstrations.
• Identify opportunities for additional consulting services and contribute to account growth and client relationships.
• Stay current with AI/ML, Generative AI, cloud, automation, cybersecurity, data platforms, and emerging enterprise technologies.
• Drive continuous improvement and ensure consulting recommendations deliver measurable business and technology outcomes.

Preferred candidate profile

• 7 to 12 years of experience in technology consulting, solution architecture, enterprise architecture, software engineering, cloud consulting, digital transformation, or related technology roles.
• Proven experience delivering technology consulting or transformation engagements for enterprise clients.
• Strong combination of technical depth, business understanding, consulting capability, and client-facing communication.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture, solution architecture, cloud, application modernization, integration, APIs, data, and cybersecurity.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience designing or implementing cloud-native, microservices, API-driven, distributed, or hybrid-cloud solutions.
• Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, containers, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, automation, and modern software engineering practices.
• Experience conducting technology assessments, architecture reviews, gap analysis, technical due diligence, and transformation roadmaps.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value, ROI, risks, and actionable recommendations.
• Strong experience in requirements gathering, stakeholder workshops, solution design, estimation, technical documentation, and implementation planning.
• Experience working with C-level executives, business leaders, technology leaders, architects, and distributed delivery teams.
• Strong consulting skills including structured problem-solving, hypothesis-driven analysis, presentation, storytelling, negotiation, and influencing.
• Experience supporting pre-sales, RFP/RFI responses, proposals, solution estimation, and client presentations is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, ITIL, DevOps, enterprise architecture frameworks, and project/program management is advantageous.
• Exposure to AI/ML, Generative AI, data engineering, analytics, automation, or emerging technologies is increasingly valuable.
• Relevant technology specialization such as SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, ServiceNow, cybersecurity, data, cloud, or enterprise applications is an advantage.
• Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities, with experience guiding junior consultants and technical teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related technical discipline; MCA/M.Tech/M.E. is advantageous.
• MBA/PGDM is beneficial for strategy and business-focused consulting roles.
• Certifications such as AWS/Azure/GCP, TOGAF, ITIL, PMP, CISSP, Kubernetes, or relevant SAP/Oracle/Salesforce/ServiceNow certifications are preferred depending on specialization.
