Job Description
Role & responsibilities
- Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of hands-on experience as an Application Developer or in similar software engineering roles
- Advanced skills in Python; strong SQL and cloud-native development experience (AWS)
- Proven expertise architecting scalable data pipelines (ETL/ELT)
- OR experience working with extensive data pipelines
- Advanced proficiency in relational databases (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB)
- Skilled with Docker and AWS cloud services (Lambda, EC2, ECR, ECS, AWS Batch)
- Experience building, integrating, and maintaining REST APIs and data workflows, including working with JSON
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to independently onboard/train new engineers and contribute to knowledge bases
- Strong background in code reviews, monitoring system performance/stability, and proactively refining solutions
- Self-motivation and reliability in remote work settings, including effective time management with distributed teams
