Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Agency Management & Strategy

  • Act as the single point of accountability for all digital marketing agencies (paid social, Amazon marketplace, Google Ads/SEM, CRO, content/creative).
  • Translate Kayura Effect's brand positioning and business goals into clear briefs, targets, and quarterly/monthly plans for each agency.
  • Run recurring cadence calls with agencies weekly check-ins, monthly performance reviews, quarterly strategy resets.
  • Evaluate agency proposals, media plans, and creative recommendations before they go live; push back where strategy doesn't align with brand or budget.
  • Own the agency scorecard — track deliverables, turnaround times, and quality against contracted SOWs.

Performance Marketing Oversight (Meta, Google, Amazon Ads)

  • Review and interpret campaign performance across Meta Ads, Google Ads, and Amazon Advertising (Sponsored Products/Brands/Display) — CAC, ROAS, CPM, CTR, conversion rate, and spend efficiency.
  • Challenge agencies on budget allocation, audience/targeting strategy, creative testing plans, and bid strategy.
  • Coordinate product launches, seasonal campaigns, and promotional calendars across all paid channels.
  • Monitor Amazon storefront health, listing optimization, and ad-to-organic sales ratio in partnership with the Amazon agency.

CRO & Content

  • Guide the CRO agency on website/landing page testing priorities using funnel and conversion data.
  • Ensure content output (blog, social, lifecycle, creative assets) is on-brand, on-strategy, and aligned across all agencies so messaging stays consistent.

Brand & Team Building

  • Shape and evolve Kayura Effect's brand positioning, voice, and visual identity as the company enters its growth stage.
  • Identify which capabilities should move in-house vs. stay with agencies as the company scales, and build the business case for each.
  • Hire, onboard, and lead an in-house digital marketing team over time, starting with the highest-leverage roles.
  • Set the vision, standards, and ways of working for the team you build, so growth in headcount translates into growth in output quality.

Reporting & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Consolidate agency reports into a single, Founder-ready view of digital performance — spend, results, learnings, and next steps.
  • Flag risks (underperformance, budget overruns, missed timelines) early and drive resolution with agencies.
  • Partner with the Founders on budget planning, channel mix decisions, and go-to-market plans for new SKUs.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (operations, customer experience, supply chain) so marketing plans reflect real-world inventory and fulfillment constraints.
