Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Time and Attendance Management:
    • Oversee the accurate recording and reporting of employee attendance.
    • Implement and manage timekeeping systems to ensure compliance with company policies and labour laws.
    • Address and resolve attendance-related issues and discrepancies.
  • Labour Laws and Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal labour laws and regulations.
    • Stay updated with changes in labour laws and implement necessary changes to company policies.
    • Conduct regular audits to ensure ongoing compliance and address any issues proactively.
  • HR Policies and Procedures:
    • Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures.
    • Communicate HR policies to employees and ensure understanding and compliance.
    • Handle employee grievances and disciplinary procedures in accordance with company policy.
  • Recruitment and On boarding:
    • Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, interviews, and selection.
    • Oversee the on boarding process to ensure a smooth transition for new employees.
    • Collaborate with department heads to understand staffing needs and requirements.
  • Employee Relations:
    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
    • Act as a point of contact for employee concerns and provide support as needed.
    • Organize employee engagement activities and initiatives.
  • Performance Management:
    • Implement and manage performance appraisal systems.
    • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on performance-related issues.
    • Develop and implement employee development and training programs.
  • HR Reporting and Analytics:
    • Prepare and present HR metrics and reports to senior management.
    • Analyse HR data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
    • Use data to inform HR strategies and initiatives.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Masters degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 6-12years of experience in HR management within the manufacturing industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of labour laws and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven experience in managing time and attendance systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
