Job Description
Role & responsibilities
- Time and Attendance Management:
- Oversee the accurate recording and reporting of employee attendance.
- Implement and manage timekeeping systems to ensure compliance with company policies and labour laws.
- Address and resolve attendance-related issues and discrepancies.
- Labour Laws and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal labour laws and regulations.
- Stay updated with changes in labour laws and implement necessary changes to company policies.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure ongoing compliance and address any issues proactively.
- HR Policies and Procedures:
- Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures.
- Communicate HR policies to employees and ensure understanding and compliance.
- Handle employee grievances and disciplinary procedures in accordance with company policy.
- Recruitment and On boarding:
- Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, interviews, and selection.
- Oversee the on boarding process to ensure a smooth transition for new employees.
- Collaborate with department heads to understand staffing needs and requirements.
- Employee Relations:
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Act as a point of contact for employee concerns and provide support as needed.
- Organize employee engagement activities and initiatives.
- Performance Management:
- Implement and manage performance appraisal systems.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on performance-related issues.
- Develop and implement employee development and training programs.
- HR Reporting and Analytics:
- Prepare and present HR metrics and reports to senior management.
- Analyse HR data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Use data to inform HR strategies and initiatives.
Preferred candidate profile
- Masters degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 6-12years of experience in HR management within the manufacturing industry.
- In-depth knowledge of labour laws and regulatory compliance.
- Proven experience in managing time and attendance systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
