Summary of Role Responsibilities

• Develop seasonal inspirations, concepts and colours, based upon international / domestic trends and adapt to market demographic and brand image
• Understand market and customer profiling and market segmentation
• Conceptualize and develop the design range in line with brand ethos
• Use 3D relevant design software such as Rhinoceros or sketchup & rendering softwares such as keyshot, V-ray or Generative AI platforms
• Ensure adherence to business process calendar
• Experience in Living category & understanding of fabrics is an added advantage.

Trend Forecasting and Research

• Develop seasonal inspirations, concepts and colours, based upon international and domestic trends and adapt to market demographic and brand image
• Interpret seasonal trend direction, assortment opportunities and merchandise to stay ahead of competition and relevant to the market
• Understand market and customer profiling, market segmentation with reference to niche areas and price sensitive markets

Product Design and Range Planning and Development

• Ensure adherence to business process calendar
• Conceptualize and develop the design range in line with brand ethos • Create differentiation in the design ranges
• Ensure synergy on design and trends through integration of design development, sampling, material mix, freshness and adaptation of tech packs
• Deliver options based on the business plan in the right range architecture
• Make recommendations for new techniques, textures, constructions, base materials, finishes etc.
• Approval of design translations in terms of colour, styling, design detailing & technical drawings etc.
• Provide final production approvals
• Collaborate with the visual merchandising team for effective presentation of the design ranges in stores
• Use relevant design software such as Rhinoceros, Sketchup, keyshot & AI tools
• Participate and define processes to ensure cohesiveness within intra and inter teams
• Ensure coordination between all categories in Home Centre to maintain synergy in the store
