Job Description
Role & responsibilities
- Vendor Qualification: Vetting new suppliers' capabilities and quality systems before they are approved for purchase.
- Part Approval (PPAP): Reviewing and approving prototypes and initial production runs to ensure parts meet exact specifications.
- Auditing: Visiting supplier facilities to inspect their manufacturing lines and assess their adherence to quality standards.
- Defect Resolution: Investigating defective incoming materials, issuing Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), and negotiating solutions.
- Performance Tracking: Monitoring supplier scorecards based on metrics like Defective Parts Per Million (PPM) and delivery reliability.
