Store Manager

Role summary

Mizaj is looking for a results-oriented Store Manager to lead our premium customized menswear store in Tiruchirappalli.

The candidate will be responsible for achieving store sales targets, delivering a premium customer experience, managing the retail team and ensuring smooth daily store operations.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve monthly and annual store sales targets.
• Lead, guide and motivate the sales team.
• Monitor individual employee targets and conversion performance.
• Deliver a premium and personalized customer experience.
• Ensure customers are properly guided through fabrics, styles, measurements and customization options.
• Monitor enquiries, appointments, walk-ins, trials, alterations and final deliveries.
• Coordinate with tele sales and marketing teams to convert leads into store visits.
• Follow up on customer enquiries, pending orders and delivery commitments.
• Handle customer concerns professionally and ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain customer information and follow-up records in the CRM.
• Increase conversion rate, average billing value and repeat purchases.
• Manage opening, closing and daily store-operating procedures.
• Monitor stock, fabrics, samples, accessories and store supplies.
• Conduct regular stock verification and prevent inventory discrepancies.
• Maintain visual merchandising, cleanliness and premium store presentation.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly sales and operational reports.
• Manage employee attendance, shift allocation, grooming and discipline.
• Train team members on products, customer handling and selling skills.
• Coordinate with production, tailoring, alteration and delivery teams.
• Ensure orders are delivered accurately and within committed timelines.
• Maintain billing, cash-handling and documentation accuracy.
• Support local promotions, customer-engagement activities and store events.
• Provide management with customer feedback and competitor insights.

Candidate requirements

• Relevant experience in retail store operations.
• Experience in apparel, menswear, fashion, luxury or lifestyle retail is strongly preferred.
• Proven experience in store sales and target achievement.
• Good team-handling and employee-development skills.
• Strong communication, customer-handling and problem-solving abilities.
• Understanding of inventory control, CRM and retail reporting.
• Ability to manage customer escalations calmly and professionally.
• Knowledge of customized, bespoke or made-to-measure clothing is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and retail billing or POS systems.
• Willingness to work from the Tiruchirappalli store.
• Immediate or short-notice candidates will be preferred.
