Job Description
- Fleet Acquisition Strategy: Evaluate whether to buy vehicles (Capex) or lease them (Opex).
- Cost Lifecycle Modeling: Project long-term Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for transport assets.
- Budget Forecasting: Construct detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual operational budgets.
- Vendor Negotiations: Secure optimal terms with third-party logistics providers (3PL) and freight carriers.
- Route Efficiency Analysis: Track fuel consumption and driver hours to drive down daily operational costs.
- Infrastructure Investment: Direct capital allocation for regional hubs, cross-docks, and sorting facilities.
- Maintenance Optimization: Balance preventive maintenance budgets against emergency breakdown costs.
