The Senior General Manager will lead strategy, structure, recruitment, operations, and commercial growth for SEAIR s Chennai office. This includes building high-performing teams, driving revenue growth, managing full P&L, and ensuring operational excellence.

This role requires deep freight forwarding expertise and a strategic yet hands-on leadership style.

• Develop and execute growth strategy for the South India market.
• Build SEAIR s Chennai branch structure, teams, and high-performance culture.
• Identify and onboard new customers and partners to achieve revenue goals.

• Lead air, ocean, and customs forwarding operations.
• Deploy digital systems including ERP, CRM, and WMS for visibility and automation.
• Ensure compliance with trade, customs, and safety regulations.

• Drive revenue growth and gross margin expansion through strategic business development.
• Negotiate contracts with airlines, logistics vendors, and carriers.
• Deliver tailored logistics solutions that support customer retention and profitability.

• Own the full P&L and meet financial performance objectives.
• Recruit, develop, and mentor a cross-functional operations and commercial team.
• Define KPIs and establish scalable performance-driven systems.

• Bachelor s degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management.
• MBA or relevant logistics certifications preferred.
• 10+ years of logistics or freight forwarding experience, including 3+ years in senior leadership.
• Strong network with carriers, shipping lines, and logistics partners.
• Fluency in English, Hindi, and Tamil.
• Willingness to travel across India and internationally.

• Proven ability to build and scale freight forwarding/logistics businesses.
• Strong financial acumen with demonstrated P&L ownership.
