Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Journalist to lead editorial coverage, produce high-impact news stories, and mentor junior reporters. The ideal candidate should have strong reporting skills, excellent writing abilities, and a deep understanding of journalistic ethics. This role requires the ability to handle sensitive news, conduct in-depth investigations, and deliver accurate, timely, and engaging content across digital platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field
• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in journalism or digital news media
• Strong command over English and Telugu (reading, writing, and editing)
• Proven experience in reporting, news writing, and editorial decision-making
• Sound knowledge of media laws, press ethics, and fact-checking standards
• Ability to verify sources and handle sensitive information responsibly
• Familiarity with digital publishing platforms and newsroom workflows
• Experience in mentoring or supervising junior reporters is preferred
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle breaking news situations

Responsibilities

• Report, write, and edit high-quality news stories, features, and investigative reports
• Lead coverage for assigned beats such as politics, governance, crime, or public affairs
• Verify facts, sources, and data to ensure accuracy and credibility of all content
• Coordinate with editors, photographers, and digital teams for story planning and execution
• Mentor and guide junior journalists and interns in reporting and writing standards
• Monitor breaking news and provide timely updates across digital platforms
• Ensure compliance with journalistic ethics, editorial guidelines, and legal standards
• Contribute to editorial planning meetings and suggest impactful story ideas
• Represent the organization at press conferences, public events, and official briefings
