Job Description
Job Summary:
HECS is seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Operator to manage and oversee water and wastewater treatment operations at our client site, Apollo Tyres. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth plant operations, maintaining compliance with environmental standards, and leading operational activities across treatment systems such as ETP, STP, WTP, RO, and UF.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor ETP, STP, WTP, RO, and UF systems efficiently to ensure uninterrupted plant performance
- Supervise daily plant operations and guide junior operators/technicians
- Ensure treated water meets pollution control and environmental compliance standards
- Conduct routine inspections, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of equipment
- Monitor chemical dosing, flow rates, pressure levels, and system parameters
- Maintain accurate logs, reports, and operational records
- Coordinate with maintenance teams for breakdowns and repairs
- Ensure adherence to safety procedures and company policies
- Optimize plant performance to reduce downtime and improve efficiency
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes
- Hands-on experience in ETP/STP/WTP/RO/UF operations
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and process issues
- Leadership and team handling skills
- Good understanding of safety and compliance standards
- Basic documentation and reporting skills
Qualifications:
- Diploma / ITI / B.Sc in relevant field (Mechanical / Chemical / Environmental)
- Certification in water treatment operations is an added advantage
Experience:
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in water treatment plant operations
- Experience in handling industrial clients or large-scale plants preferred
Salary:
- 25,000 30,000 per month (Based on experience and performance)
