Senior QA Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Define and execute the overall QA strategy, test plans, quality standards, and processes across software products.
• Lead and mentor QA engineers, automation engineers, and test leads.
• Manage manual, automated, API, integration, regression, performance, and UAT testing.
• Establish and maintain automated testing frameworks and CI/CD quality gates.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, DevOps, Business, and Project Management teams.
• Monitor defect lifecycle, root-cause analysis, test coverage, release quality, and QA KPIs.
• Identify quality risks early and implement mitigation and continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Review requirements and acceptance criteria to ensure testability and product quality.
• Drive Agile/Scrum QA practices across development teams.
• Manage QA resources, timelines, priorities, and testing deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with organizational quality standards, security requirements, and industry best practices.
• Provide regular quality reports, dashboards, and release-readiness recommendations to senior management.

Preferred candidate profile

• 5 to 10 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, Testing, or Quality Engineering, with proven team-leadership/management experience.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong hands-on experience with test automation, API testing, SQL/database testing, and CI/CD.
• Proficiency with tools such as Selenium, Cypress/Playwright, Postman, Jira, Jenkins/GitLab CI, and JMeter or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum, DevOps, test methodologies, and quality engineering practices.
• Experience building QA processes, automation frameworks, quality metrics, and release governance.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder-management, and people-leadership skills.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred.
• ISTQB certification is an advantage.
• UAE/GCC experience and experience working in multicultural, cross-functional teams would be an added advantage.
