Role & responsibilities
We are Seeking a highly skilled, proactive, and licensed Sr. Engineer - Maintenance to oversee our Electrical & Mechanical maintenance operations. This role is crucial as we expand, offering the opportunity to lead the electrical setup for New factory commissioning from the ground up, while managing day-to-day electrical maintenance, safety compliance, and cost-control initiatives for our existing manufacturing units.

Work Location: Kantaflex Manufacturing Plant, Gummidipoondi
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the complete Electrical and Mechanical setup for the existing factories, including utility planning, machinery erection, alignment, HT/LT Switch Gears, power distribution, and load testing.
- Lead the Electrical and Mechanical setup, cabling, load planning, testing, and commissioning of all machinery & utilities for new factory infrastructures.
- High Tensile (HT) & Substation Management: Manage the High Tensile (HT) line and EB (Electricity Board) power room, ensuring uninterrupted power supply, safety compliance, and regular preventive maintenance.
- Leadership: Proven ability to manage a team of electrical/ mechanical technicians, coordinate with external vendors, and communicate directly with plant management.
- Electro Mechanical Machinery Maintenance: Execute PM (Preventive Maintenance) and quick Breakdown electrical/mechanical resolution for a diverse fleet of industrial machinery, including: EOT Cranes, DG, CNC/VMC Machines, Manual Lathes, Drilling, Welding Machines.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate day-to-day shift logs, breakdown/repair reports, preventive maintenance schedules, and machinery history cards. Implement rigorous daily maintenance reports, machine history logs, breakdown root-cause analysis, and maintain all mandatory legal registers.
- Cost Control & Energy Efficiency: Implement energy-saving measures, optimize spare parts inventory, and reduce operational downtime to control maintenance costs.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict electrical safety protocols and ensure all regulatory/statutory norms are fully met.
Preferred candidate profile
Experience: 6 to 10 years of hands-on electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or heavy engineering plant environment.
Certification: Must possess a valid "C" License Tamil Nadu Govt (Electrical Supervisor / Contractor Competency Certificate) for handling High Voltage / HT systems in a Manufacturing Unit.
Technical Expertise:
a) Proven experience managing HT lines, EB power rooms, transformers, and switchgears.
b) Strong troubleshooting electromechanical skills for CNC/Manual machines, EOT cranes, and welding equipments, hydraulics, gearboxes, machine alignments, and cranes.
Skills in reporting, inventory management, cost analysis, and team management capabilities.
Education: Diploma (or) B.E./B.Tech in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE).
