Senior Engineer

Role & responsibilities

Civil Maintenance

• Inspect and maintain plant buildings, flooring, roofs, drainage systems, roads, foundations, boundary walls, and other civil infrastructure.
• Identify structural defects, cracks, leakage, settlement, and other civil-related issues.
• Plan and execute preventive and breakdown civil maintenance activities.
• Ensure timely repair and maintenance of plant infrastructure.

Projects & Construction

• Execute civil construction and renovation projects within the manufacturing plant.
• Review civil, structural, and architectural drawings.
• Prepare estimates, BOQs, material requirements, and project schedules.
• Supervise contractors and ensure work is completed as per approved drawings and specifications.
• Monitor project progress, cost, quality, and timelines.
• Coordinate with production, maintenance, EHS, electrical, mechanical, and other departments during project execution.

Contractor & Vendor Management

• Coordinate with civil contractors, consultants, suppliers, and service providers.
• Monitor contractor manpower, productivity, quality, and safety compliance.
• Verify measurements and contractor bills against completed work.

Quality & Safety

• Ensure civil works comply with company standards, specifications, and applicable codes.
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks.
• Ensure safe execution of construction and maintenance activities.
• Follow plant EHS procedures, permit-to-work requirements, and safety standards.

Preferred candidate profile

• Industrial/plant civil maintenance experience.
• Contractor and vendor management.
• Project planning and execution.
• Knowledge of relevant IS codes and construction practices.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Problem-solving and decision-making ability.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing plant environment
