Summary
Looking for a motivated RF Engineer to manage a team of Design and Optimization Engineers in a fast-paced multi-city rollout of greenfield deployment. Familiarity with ATOLL or PLANET is required. The right candidate for this position will possess the demonstrated flexibility to manage design & Optimization engineers present locally or remote. Must take responsibility for design to meet specific performance KPIs. Must have demonstrated expertise in Site Selection, Acquisition, work cross-functional teams for candidate rankings, work with utility providers and landlord re-design requests. RFDS creation, Regulatory governance, Vendors, Construction Crew through to RF testing and meeting KPI targets.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS
- Bachelor s degree in Electrical / Electronics / Telecommunication Engineering or Computer Science.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in the cellular or telecommunications industry with direct experience in RF Design & Optimization.
- Experience in Design & Optimization of 5G, LTE/VoLTE networks.
- Strong hands on experience in 4G/5G RF Planning Tools like Forsk Atoll or Infovista Planet.
- Demonstrated skillset to prepare presentations, city wide designs, achieving the performance KPIs, meeting timelines familiarize himself to contractual obligations. Engaging with client on RF deliverables, solutions & managing the governance reviews.
- Solid knowledge of RF theory and practice as well as sub-6 5G-NR and NSA architecture, O-RAN vRAN network Topologies, LTE/VoLTE Technology. Achieve best user perception by enhancing the coverage, quality and spectral efficiency. Deliver performance KPIs, achieve signed KPI targets, optimize and enhance network performance, manage network capacity and augment to ensure best user experience.
- Proficiency in office computer applications: Various RF tools such as Mapinfo, post-processing software etc., Knowledge of SQL scripting, VB Scripting, other professional software.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage RF Design and planning for RAN Networks, which includes RF analysis, search area issuance, candidate assessment, and approvals.
Manage Macro 4G/ 5G design including antenna selection and placement, utilizing knowledge of sub6 propagation characteristics and basic RF knowledge from previous experience could be: GSM, UMTS,LTE, NR design and microwave to contribute in network design are key responsibilities.

To deliver city design, preparing and validating site survey documents, preparation of site configurations, auditing the site configurations, basic functionality tests, troubleshooting and optimizing the site performance, plan and conduct cluster drive test, achieve the KPI targets, launch the city and get an acceptance from the client. Use of advanced antenna solutions to achieve best performance.
Identify the risk/challenges of the RF Nominal design on time and propose solutions considering cost, quality targets & timelines. Make sure the quality of the Design reports & timelines of the deliveries. Close monitoring on the KPIs and achieving the agreed cluster/city/network level KPI targets. Discuss and coordinate with different stake holders periodically to get aligned/synced with the activities. Discussing the Technical requirements with different vendors for purchasing the required tools for the project.
Interacting with cross functional teams to deploy and optimize components for best efficiency and reliability.
Taking ownership of issues and driving them to resolution. Must be flexible to work afterhours or weekends to meet timelines if needed.
