Regional Operations Manager


Role Overview


We are looking for a highly responsible, hands-on, and result-oriented Regional Operations Manager who can independently manage multi-warehouse operations during the day and field/route operations during the night.


The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, 247 operational environment, taking ownership of critical situations, managing multiple teams, and travelling across cities whenever required for warehouse setup, operational stabilisation, and issue resolution.


This role requires someone who does not limit themselves to routine responsibilities but is willing to *take complete ownership of operations and be available during emergencies or critical operational situations, including after regular working hours.*


Key Responsibilities


1. Multi-Warehouse Operations

* Independently plan, manage, and monitor *multiple warehouses* within the assigned region.

* Oversee day-to-day warehouse activities including *receiving, storage, picking, inventory management, dispatch, returns, and stock reconciliation*.

* Ensure smooth coordination between warehouse teams, field teams, drivers, and management.

* Monitor inventory accuracy, stock movement, damages, shortages, shrinkage, and operational losses.

* Ensure proper warehouse discipline, space utilisation, product handling, and process adherence.

* Conduct regular warehouse audits and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.

* Take ownership of warehouse performance and ensure all operational KPIs are achieved.


2. Night Operations & Route Management


* Plan and manage *night-time field operations*, including refilling, picking, returns, collections, and dispatch routes.

* Prepare daily route plans and allocate manpower and vehicles based on operational priorities.

* Manage and supervise *Refillers, Pickers, Drivers, and field teams*.

* Monitor route productivity, turnaround time, delivery completion, machine refilling, and return activities.

* Ensure all priority routes and critical client locations are serviced within the required timelines.

* Take immediate corrective action in case of route delays, manpower shortages, vehicle issues, or operational failures.


3. Team Leadership & Accountability


* Lead warehouse and field teams with a strong focus on *discipline, productivity, ownership, and accountability*.

* Conduct daily operational huddles and communicate priorities, targets, and critical issues to the team.

* Train, guide, and develop team members to improve productivity and operational standards.

* Monitor attendance, punctuality, task completion, productivity, and performance.

* Build a culture where team members take ownership of their responsibilities and deliver without constant supervision.


4. 247 Operational Ownership


* Be willing to take *end-to-end responsibility for critical operational situations*, including emergencies outside regular working hours.

* Act as an escalation point for urgent warehouse, logistics, manpower, vehicle, inventory, and client-site issues.

* Respond quickly to operational emergencies and coordinate with the concerned teams until the issue is resolved.

* Ensure that critical business operations are not impacted due to delays, communication gaps, or lack of ownership.

* Demonstrate flexibility in working hours based on business and operational requirements.


5. Multi-City Travel & Expansion


* Be willing to *travel across multiple cities and states*, particularly across South India, as required.

* Take ownership of *new warehouse setup and operational launch*, including manpower planning, infrastructure, inventory processes, route planning, and operational readiness.

* Visit existing locations to resolve critical operational issues and improve performance.

* Support the management team in scaling operations across new cities and locations.

* Be comfortable working independently in new cities and managing operations during the setup and stabilisation phase.


6. Reporting, Compliance & Process Improvement


* Prepare and review reports covering inventory, dispatches, returns, damages, shortages, route performance, manpower productivity, and other operational KPIs.

* Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with company SOPs and operational processes.

* Identify recurring operational problems and implement sustainable solutions.

* Continuously improve warehouse and field processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality.

* Escalate major operational risks, discrepancies, and business-impacting issues to management with clear action plans.


Candidate Profile


We are looking for a candidate who is:


Highly accountable and ownership-driven, with the ability to independently manage operations.

* Comfortable managing *multiple warehouses during the day and route/field operations during the night*.

* Willing to work in a *fast-paced, high-pressure and 247 operational environment*.

* Ready to take responsibility during *emergency and critical operational situations*, even outside regular working hours.

* Comfortable travelling frequently across *multiple cities for warehouse setup, operational audits, and issue resolution*.

* Strong in team management and capable of handling warehouse, field, and logistics teams.

* Proactive in identifying problems and capable of taking quick, practical decisions.

* Able to work with minimal supervision and take complete ownership of assigned operations.

* Strong in planning, coordination, execution, and multitasking.

* Comfortable handling multiple priorities simultaneously.


Minimum Requirements


*3+ years of relevant experience* in Quick Commerce, E-commerce, FMCG, Retail, Warehouse Operations, Logistics, Distribution, or Inventory Management.

* Experience managing *warehouse and field operations*.

* Experience handling Pickers, Refillers, Drivers, warehouse staff, or similar operational teams.

* Strong knowledge of inventory management, stock reconciliation, dispatch, returns, and warehouse processes.

* Good working knowledge of MS Office and inventory/warehouse management systems.

* Willingness to travel locally and inter-city.

* *Two-wheeler/bike is mandatory* for local commuting.

* Flexible to work beyond standard working hours based on operational requirements.


Preferred Qualifications


* Bachelor's degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in *Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration*, or a related field.

* Prior experience in *multi-location or multi-warehouse operations*.

* Experience in field-based logistics, distribution, Quick Commerce, FMCG, or last-mile operations.

* Experience in *new warehouse setup and operational launch*.

* Strong understanding of route planning, manpower planning, and operational KPIs.
