Role & responsibilities
Purchase & Procurement
- Manage end-to-end procurement of raw materials, packing materials, consumables, spares, engineering items and general materials.
- Review purchase requisitions and ensure timely procurement as per production and business requirements.
- Obtain quotations, negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules and other commercial conditions.
- Develop and maintain a reliable and cost-effective vendor base.
- Evaluate vendors based on quality, cost, delivery, service and compliance.
- Issue Purchase Orders and ensure adherence to approved commercial terms.
- Monitor open POs and follow up with suppliers for timely delivery.
- Identify cost-saving and alternate sourcing opportunities.
Ensure procurement is within approved budgets and company policies
Preferred candidate profile
A result-oriented professional with strong Purchase & Stores leadership experience, commercial understanding, negotiation capability and the ability to ensure uninterrupted material availability while maintaining optimum inventory and controlling procurement costs.
