Java Selenium-Lead I - Software Testing

Education: B.E./B.Tech, BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Automation Lead Engineer to drive test automation strategy, framework development, and quality engineering initiatives across cloud-native applications. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in automation testing, leadership capabilities, Agile practices, and a passion for continuous testing and quality excellence.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks and testing solutions.
• Lead automation initiatives to improve test coverage, reduce manual effort, and accelerate release cycles.
• Build and execute automated test suites for UI, API, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Collaborate with Product, Development, DevOps, and Operations teams to ensure high product quality.
• Implement continuous testing practices within CI/CD pipelines.
• Define and enforce testing standards, processes, and quality metrics across projects.
• Develop quality dashboards and reporting mechanisms to provide visibility into product health.
• Mentor and guide QA engineers, assign tasks, prioritize work, and monitor team performance.
• Identify process improvements and recommend automation strategies to enhance efficiency.
• Work effectively with globally distributed Agile and Scrum teams.

• 8+ years of software testing and test automation experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with:

  • Cucumber
  • Bruno
  • TestNG
  • Jenkins
  • SQL
• Programming expertise in Java and/or Python.
• Experience in API testing using REST/SOAP services.
• Strong understanding of Agile, SDLC, STLC, and Quality Engineering principles.
• Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch.
• Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Cloud platform experience with AWS and/or GCP.
• Strong Java development experience with Spring Boot.
• Experience with TDD/BDD methodologies.
• Hands-on knowledge of:

  • SonarQube
  • Bamboo
  • Checkmarx
  • Fortify
• Experience integrating automation with CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of code quality, code coverage, and continuous delivery practices.
