Senior Java Developer

The Senior Java Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-performance backend applications using Java and modern cloud-native technologies. The role involves building microservices, developing REST APIs, implementing event-driven architectures, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable enterprise solutions on Azure.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based backend applications.
• Develop RESTful APIs and Microservices using Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Build event-driven applications using Kafka.
• Develop and optimize applications using SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Deploy and manage cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure.
• Containerize and orchestrate applications using Kubernetes.
• Perform unit testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to architecture and design discussions.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and Business teams throughout the SDLC.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and follow Agile/Scrum development practices.
• Ensure application security, scalability, reliability, and high availability.

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in Java/J2EE development.
• Strong expertise in Core Java (Java 8+), Collections, Multithreading, and Concurrency.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
• Strong experience in Microservices architecture.
• Expertise in RESTful APIs, REST/JSON, and SOAP Web Services.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka for event-driven messaging.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of software design principles, design patterns, and SDLC.
• Excellent debugging, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience with Docker and containerization.
• Exposure to monitoring and logging tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Splunk, etc.).
• Knowledge of cloud-native architecture and DevOps practices.
• Experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with Redis, MongoDB, or other distributed databases.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Azure or Java certifications are an added advantage.
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
