Senior Java Developer
Job SummaryThe Senior Java Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-performance backend applications using Java and modern cloud-native technologies. The role involves building microservices, developing REST APIs, implementing event-driven architectures, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable enterprise solutions on Azure.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based backend applications.
- Develop RESTful APIs and Microservices using Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Build event-driven applications using Kafka.
- Develop and optimize applications using SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Deploy and manage cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure.
- Containerize and orchestrate applications using Kubernetes.
- Perform unit testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to architecture and design discussions.
- Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and Business teams throughout the SDLC.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and follow Agile/Scrum development practices.
- Ensure application security, scalability, reliability, and high availability.
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in Java/J2EE development.
- Strong expertise in Core Java (Java 8+), Collections, Multithreading, and Concurrency.
- Hands-on experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
- Strong experience in Microservices architecture.
- Expertise in RESTful APIs, REST/JSON, and SOAP Web Services.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka for event-driven messaging.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of software design principles, design patterns, and SDLC.
- Excellent debugging, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Docker and containerization.
- Exposure to monitoring and logging tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Splunk, etc.).
- Knowledge of cloud-native architecture and DevOps practices.
- Experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Familiarity with Redis, MongoDB, or other distributed databases.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Azure or Java certifications are an added advantage.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
