Job Description

Role & responsibilities

1. ERP & Application Management (SAP)

  • Own end-to-end administration, uptime, and performance of SAP across Finance, Sales, and Manufacturing modules.
  • Coordinate with SAP implementation/support partners for upgrades, patches, customizations, and issue resolution.
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency of master data (materials, customers, vendors, finance) within SAP.
  • Define and enforce user access controls and approval workflows in line with internal financial controls.

2. Retail POS Petpooja

  • Administer and support Petpooja POS across all retail outlets, ensuring smooth day-to-day billing operations.
  • Lead the complete migration from Eshoppe to Petpooja covering data migration, menu/SKU mapping, staff training, parallel-run validation, and cut-over planning – with minimal disruption to store operations.
  • Ensure Petpooja is correctly integrated with SAP for sales, inventory, and accounting reconciliation.
  • Troubleshoot POS issues at outlets and manage escalations with the Petpooja support/vendor team.

3. Payment & Banking Integration

  • Own the integration of retail outlet transactions (POS/UPI/card settlements) with ICICI Bank systems, ensuring accurate and timely reconciliation of daily sales with bank settlements.
  • Coordinate with the bank's technical/relationship team to resolve integration issues, settlement mismatches, or gateway downtime.
  • Work with Finance to automate reconciliation between POS collections, bank credits, and SAP entries.

4. Cross-Functional IT Support

  • Support production, inventory, and shop-floor systems, ensuring data flows correctly into SAP.
  • Support order booking, CRM/sales-tracking tools, and reporting dashboards.
  • Support accounting, billing, MIS, and audit data requirements; ensure statutory/compliance data is accurately captured in systems.Finance:
  • Act as the single point of contact for all technology needs across departments and outlets.

5. IT Infrastructure & Operations

  • Manage hardware (desktops, POS terminals, printers, servers) across office, manufacturing, and retail locations – procurement, deployment, AMC, and lifecycle management.
  • Ensure reliable internet/network connectivity (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, leased lines) at all locations, including backup connectivity for critical sites like retail outlets.
  • Own IT security – antivirus, firewalls, data backup, and access management – to safeguard business and financial data.
  • Maintain an IT asset register and ensure timely maintenance/replacement planning.
  • Manage relationships with IT vendors, ISPs, AMC partners, and software providers; negotiate contracts and SLAs.

6. Governance, Budgeting & Team Management

  • Prepare and manage the annual IT budget (hardware, software licenses, AMC, connectivity, manpower).
  • Build and lead a small internal IT team (or manage outsourced support), setting priorities and SLAs for issue resolution.
  • Define and track IT policies – data security, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
  • Provide periodic MIS/dashboards to leadership on system uptime, project status, and IT spend.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelor's degree in IT/Computer Science/Engineering (MBA or relevant certification is a plus).
  • 8–12+ years of overall IT experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role handling ERP (SAP) and retail/POS systems.
  • Prior experience in a multi-location retail/manufacturing business is strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP (any relevant module), POS systems (Petpooja or similar), and payment gateway/bank integrations.
  • Experience managing IT infrastructure – networks, hardware, security – across distributed locations.
