Position: Executive / Sr Executive Costing

Department: Finance & Accounts
Location: Bahadurgarh, Haryana
Industry: Iron & Steel / Steel Wire Manufacturing (B2B)


About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Officer Costing to join our Finance & Costing team. The ideal candidate should be a CMA-qualified professional with a strong foundation in cost accounting and manufacturing finance. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the Iron & Steel or Steel Wire Manufacturing industry, possessing hands-on exposure to product costing, inventory valuation, variance analysis, and MIS reporting in a B2B manufacturing environment.


Educational Qualification

  • CMA (Qualified) Mandatory
  • B.Com (First Division) – Mandatory

Experience

  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in Cost Accounting within a manufacturing organization.
  • Preference will be given to candidates from the Iron & Steel, Steel Wire, or other engineering/manufacturing industries serving B2B customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain product-wise and process-wise cost sheets.
  • Analyze raw material, conversion, production, and overhead costs to determine accurate product costing.
  • Monitor and analyze manufacturing cost variances and recommend corrective actions.
  • Assist in monthly costing, inventory valuation, and cost reconciliation.
  • Support budgeting, cost control initiatives, and profitability analysis.
  • Prepare cost-related MIS reports and management dashboards.
  • Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Stores, and Finance teams for accurate cost data.
  • Ensure compliance with cost accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.
  • Assist during statutory, cost, and internal audits by providing required costing information and documentation.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement and cost optimization initiatives.

Technical Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of Cost Accounting principles and manufacturing costing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query, Charts, MIS Reporting, and Data Analysis).
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP or equivalent manufacturing ERP.
  • Good understanding of inventory accounting, BOM, standard costing, and variance analysis.
