Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including detailed medical histories and physical examinations, to diagnose ENT disorders.
  • Perform and interpret diagnostic tests such as audiometry, endoscopy, and imaging studies (e.g., CT, MRI) related to ear, nose, and throat conditions.
  • Execute endoscopic procedures including nasal endoscopy, laryngoscopy, and sinus endoscopy with precision and adherence to clinical protocols.
  • Provide surgical interventions for conditions such as chronic sinusitis, tonsillitis, sleep apnea, and benign or malignant head and neck tumors, under supervision or independently as per experience.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans, including medical management, surgical recommendations, and follow-up care strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including audiologists, speech therapists, oncologists, and radiologists, to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Offer empathetic counseling and education to patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and post-procedure care.
  • Stay current with advancements in otolaryngology through continuing medical education, research, and participation in clinical audits.
Requirements
  • MBBS degree with a recognized postgraduate qualification in Otolaryngology (MS ENT or DNB ENT).
  • Proficient in diagnosing and treating a broad spectrum of ENT disorders, including otitis, rhinitis, sinusitis, hearing loss, tinnitus, vertigo, and voice disorders.
  • Demonstrated skill in performing endoscopic procedures and basic ENT surgeries, including tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, and nasal septoplasty.
  • Strong interpersonal and counseling skills to effectively communicate with patients and families, especially during sensitive consultations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team in a fast-paced hospital environment.
  • Commitment to patient safety, ethical practice, and adherence to clinical guidelines and hospital policies.
  • Valid medical registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) and state medical council.
  • Willingness to participate in on-call duties and emergency consultations as required.
