Job Description


We are looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator / Takeoff Engineer to work with an American construction/electrical contracting firm.


The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in US construction estimating, quantity takeoffs and bid preparation, with strong knowledge of Accubid / Accubid Anywhere or similar electrical estimating software.


Key Responsibilities


  • Prepare detailed material and quantity takeoffs from US construction drawings and specifications.
  • Prepare accurate estimates for electrical construction projects.
  • Review drawings, plans and specifications to identify scope, materials and quantities.
  • Use Accubid / Accubid Anywhere for estimating and takeoff activities.
  • Prepare material, labor and equipment estimates.
  • Assist with bid preparation and submission.
  • Review vendor/subcontractor pricing and incorporate costs into estimates.
  • Identify scope gaps, discrepancies and potential cost issues.
  • Work closely with US-based project managers, estimators and contractors.
  • Maintain accurate records of estimates, takeoffs and project documentation.
  • Complete estimates within required deadlines.

Required Skills


  • 3+ years of experience in construction/electrical estimating and takeoffs.
  • Hands-on experience with Accubid / Accubid Anywhere.
  • Experience with US-based construction projects is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of electrical construction and estimating.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Experience with material and labor takeoffs.
  • Experience preparing bids and detailed cost estimates.
  • Good knowledge of Bluebeam, LiveCount, ConEst or similar tools is an advantage.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong English communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with a US-based team.

Preferred Candidates


Candidates with experience working directly with US electrical contractors, general contractors or construction companies will be preferred.


Experience in commercial, industrial, MEP or electrical contracting projects will be an advantage.
