Role & responsibilities

1. Equipment & Machine Maintenance

  • Perform routine maintenance and daily checks for board machines and associated electrical equipment.
  • Attend breakdowns and ensure timely restoration of machine operations.
  • Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot MCC panels, PCC panels, motors, starters, and control circuits.
  • Support preventive maintenance activities for motors, drives, and electrical panels as per schedule.
  • Assist in maintenance of control wiring, sensors, contactors, relays, and basic automation components.
  • Maintain proper documentation of maintenance activities, faults, and spare replacements.

2. Substation & Power Distribution Maintenance

  • Assist in operation and maintenance of substation equipment including transformers, HT/LT panels, breakers, and isolators.
  • Conduct routine inspections of electrical distribution networks, feeder panels, and protective devices.
  • Monitor and report electrical parameters such as voltages, loads, and breaker health.
  • Support relay testing, LT/HT panel cleaning, and bus-bar inspection activities under supervision.

3. Electrical Safety & Compliance

  • Comply with LOTO procedures during all maintenance activities.
  • Identify hazards, unsafe conditions, and equipment abnormalities and escalate as needed.
  • Maintain safe work practices in board machine areas and substations.
  • Assist in earth pit checking, tool inspection, and basic electrical safety documentation.

4. Operational Support

  • Coordinate with machine operators and shift engineers for issue resolution.
  • Support shutdown maintenance for board machines and substation equipment.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping and safe access inside MCC rooms, PCC rooms, and cable areas.

Preferred candidate profile


Technical Skills Required

  • Strong hands-on knowledge of MCC, PCC, motor starters, and control wiring.
  • Basic understanding of HT/LT power distribution systems and substation equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot motors, drives, contactors, relays, and field instrumentation basics.
  • Understanding of electrical drawings, cable schedules, and panel layouts.
  • Familiarity with electrical safety practices and LOTO procedures.


Nature of Employment: Permanent

Qualification: BE / B.Tech (Electrical)

Experience Required:

  • 5+ Yrs for B.Tech graduates (Electrical and related fields) and 7+ Yrs for Diploma Graduates (Electrical and related fields).
  • Experience working in Industries (Mandatory) and candidates with experience working in pulp & paper industries will be preferred.
