Job Description

Role & responsibilities


  • Lead end-to-end quality assurance activities across incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, customer-specific requirements, and quality standards.
  • Drive customer complaint resolution using 8D, 5 Why, and root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Monitor and improve key quality KPIs such as PPM, COPQ, and rejection rates.
  • Lead internal audits, process audits, and support external/customer audits.
  • Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues.
  • Ensure effective implementation of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC (Core Tools).
  • Manage supplier quality performance and coordinate supplier development activities.
  • Lead and mentor the quality team to achieve operational excellence.
  • Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, and NPD teams for quality improvements.
  • Ensure calibration and maintenance of inspection and measuring equipment.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives through Kaizen, Lean, and Six Sigma practices.
  • Prepare and present quality reports to management and customers.
  • Ensure adherence to quality documentation, SOPs, control plans, and work instructions.
  • Support new product development and successful customer project launches.



Preferred candidate profile


  • Preference for candidates with experience in sheet metal stamping, welding, tube bending, and fabrication processes.
  • Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, and Control Plans.
  • Hands-on experience in handling OEM/Tier-1 customer audits and customer complaint resolution using 8D methodology.
  • Good understanding of GD&T, engineering drawings, and inspection techniques.
  • Proficient in the use of quality measuring instruments such as CMM, Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, etc.
  • Experience in leading teams, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Experience with automotive customers such as Hyundai, Tata Motors, Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki, or other OEMs/Tier-1 suppliers will be an added advantage.
