Consultant Neurologist

Role & responsibilities

• Patient Diagnosis and Evaluation: Examine patients to evaluate mental status, vision, speech, sensation, coordination, reflexes, and gait.
• Treatment Planning: Diagnose and treat neurological conditions, including stroke, dementia, neuromuscular diseases, migraines, and infections of the nervous system.
• Diagnostic Testing: Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as MRI, CT scans, EMG (electromyography), and EEG (electroencephalogram).
• Disease Management: Provide long-term care and follow-up for chronic neurological conditions.
• Multidisciplinary Care: Collaborate with neurosurgeons (who perform surgical interventions), nurses, and therapists to provide comprehensive care.
• Documentation and Research: Maintain precise clinical documentation and potentially participate in clinical trials and research
