Consultant Gastroenterologist

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and treat conditions such as acid reflux, ulcers, IBS, IBD (Crohns and ulcerative colitis), hepatitis, colon polyps, and GI cancers.
  
• Perform diagnostic procedures like endoscopy, colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, and ERCP.
  
• Develop treatment plans based on patient evaluations, lab tests, and imaging.
  
• Interpret diagnostic tests such as CT scans, MRI, blood tests, and biopsy results.
  
• Educate patients about preventive care and dietary changes to improve GI health.
  
• Collaborate with other medical professionals such as surgeons, radiologists, and oncologists.
  
• Maintain detailed and accurate medical records.
  
• Stay current with advancements in gastroenterology and attend medical conferences.
