Job Description
- Responsible for part testing, vehicle testing, and measurement activities in India related to chassis parts.
- Responsible for operating, using, handling, and maintaining measurement systems (e.g., V-Box).
- Prepare, analyze, and present test reports.
- Prepare, evaluate, and assess vehicles related to chassis parts for:
- Summer drive vehicles
- Winter drive vehicles
- Press vehicles
- Endurance vehicles
- Competitor vehicles
- Coordinate and plan chassis vehicle testing for functional requirements as per project requirements.
- Report test results to relevant stakeholders.
- Act as the communication link for data and information exchange between R&D SK/VW, VW Group, and SAVW India functions (Purchasing, SRM, Program Management, Logistics, Assembly, Production).
- Coordinate with external stakeholders, including suppliers, NSC, and test agencies.
- Coordinate with test track authorities and external agencies for bench testing in India and overseas.
- Conduct benchmarking of chassis parts against Indian OEMs and newly launched competitor vehicles.
- Provide homologation support for India and export markets related to chassis parts and systems.
- Own and manage vehicles allotted to the chassis department.
- Plan budgets and execute relevant testing activities.
- Support document preparation and backup documentation for the Indian Investment Committee (IIC) gremium for investment approvals, as required.
- Represent the chassis team during pre-series vehicle audits and related meetings.
- Represent the chassis team in Quality meetings related to:
- Field concerns
- Schadenstisch
- Failure analysis
- Local Top Q
- Regional Top Q meetings with HQ
