BASIX-Academy for Building Lifelong Employability Limited (B-ABLE), a group entity of BASIX Social Enterprise Group, was established in 2009, with a vision of skilling people, enhancing livelihoods & transforming lives. B-ABLE is a pioneer organization in the field of skill development and vocational training with the distinction of being the first training partner of the National Skills Development Corporation (NSDC). It has implemented training programs across 27 states and 1 UT of India in various sectors including construction, apparel, textile, retail, hospitality, agriculture, health, automobile, ITES, etc. B-ABLE is a subsidiary of BASICS Limited (http://www.basixindia.com), the pioneering organization in micro-finance and livelihood promotion. BASIX Group was established in 1996 to address the need for livelihood in a holistic manner by providing services through its 12 group companies in three major areas i.e. Livelihood Promotion Services, Financial Inclusion Services, and Knowledge Services. B-ABLE provides for skill development in BASIX's mission of promoting livelihood. which has its presence in 20 states and working with over 2.5 million stakeholders, through its team of over 8,000 people across 27,000 villages. During the past 10 years of working in the Skill Development space, a recent estimate has suggested that B-ABLE has contributed to skilling more than 2.75 lakh people to join the skilled workforce of India. It provides market-driven, aspiration-based vocational education & training using technology and partnerships. B-ABLE is working towards increasing the capability of under-educated and under-skilled youth to transform them into self-employed, help them in finding meaningful work, and continually upgrading their competencies by offering them technical, commercial and life skills.
