Job Description

Role & responsibilities


  • Translate complex business and functional requirements into robust technical solutions
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable backend systems and services
  • Own the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from requirement analysis to production deployment
  • Build high-quality, extensible, and maintainable applications while ensuring timely delivery
  • Drive adoption and evolution of engineering best practices, coding standards, and development tools
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, QA, and Business teams to deliver efficient solutions
  • Lead architecture and design discussions and provide end-to-end technical solutions
  • Drive continuous improvement in product, process, and technology
  • Manage and participate in bug triage, root cause analysis, and production issue resolution
  • Monitor product quality, performance, and delivery metrics, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, open-source frameworks, and industry trends
  • Contribute to reusable frameworks, standards, and solution methodologies.

Preferred candidate profile


  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in Java backend development. Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms
  • Excellent knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and software design patterns
  • Proven experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot
  • Strong experience with SOA / microservices architecture and N-tier application development
  • Good understanding of database design, SQL optimization, and development using MySQL / MariaDB
  • Experience with messaging and queueing platforms such as Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance-optimization skills.
  • Familiarity with Git and CI/CD practices
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.
