Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to lead quality assurance initiatives and drive excellence across our software development lifecycle. As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will define and implement advanced quality assurance processes, establish comprehensive testing strategies, and mentor team members while ensuring the highest standards of product quality. You will collaborate with product management teams to define quality standards and lead the development of sophisticated testing frameworks and automation solutions.
How You Will Make an Impact
As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will collaborate with product management to define quality standards and take part in storyboarding and solution design sessions, providing expert feedback on artifacts delivered throughout the development process. You will provide estimates for quality assurance planning and execution while establishing and coordinating test strategies with development and product teams.
You will design and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases, driving the software quality assurance lifecycle as part of Agile processes to deliver high-quality releases on time. Your role involves contributing to the maintenance and creation of test automation frameworks for content delivery platform services and components, developing and executing sophisticated automated UI and functional tests.
As a senior team member, you will mentor and coach junior Quality Engineers while enhancing and maintaining automated CI flows. You will recommend processes and tools to support the quality assurance discipline, including advanced regression and performance test automation tools, and troubleshoot complex issues in systems under test.
Skills and Qualifications
Advanced Technical Leadership:
- Expert-level knowledge of Java and object-oriented programming concepts
- Advanced hands-on experience using Selenium & Core Java for test automation suite development
- Comprehensive experience with test frameworks (JUnit, TestNG, Mockito, PowerMockito, NUnit)
- Advanced knowledge of RESTful APIs and Web Services testing
- Expert understanding of software analysis, design, and architecture principles
- Advanced proficiency with Linux operating systems
Senior Quality Engineering Expertise:
- Comprehensive understanding of testing throughout the software lifecycle
- Advanced experience in unit, integration, component, performance, and end-to-end system testing
- Expert knowledge of functional and non-functional testing methodologies
- Advanced skills in test automation framework development and maintenance
- Comprehensive understanding of web and RESTful applications, including browser cookies, URLs, and HTTP methods
- Advanced proficiency in SQL for complex data extraction and validation
Leadership and Mentoring:
- 4+ years of experience as a Senior Test Automation Engineer
- Proven ability to mentor and coach Junior Quality Engineers
- Experience establishing and coordinating test strategies across multiple teams
- Leadership in driving software quality assurance lifecycle processes
- Ability to provide expert guidance on quality engineering best practices
Advanced Tools and Technologies:
- Expert proficiency with comprehensive test tool suites (Selenium, Cypress, Postman, Insomnia, Swagger)
- Advanced experience with CI tools (Jenkins), bug tracking (JIRA), and version control systems (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket)
- Proficiency with popular IDEs (IntelliJ, Eclipse, VSCode) and test case management tools (QTP, TestRail, Allure)
- Experience with advanced automation and performance testing tools
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and emerging testing methodologies

Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 4+ years of recent experience as a Senior Test Automation Engineer
- Advanced experience in quality engineering leadership roles
- ISTQB advanced level qualification (preferred)
- Proven track record of implementing and leading quality assurance initiatives
- Experience working in rapidly changing, dynamic environments
