Job Description
Job Summary:
The MEP Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and ensuring the quality execution of all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works in residential, commercial, retail, and mixed-use real estate projects. The role ensures that MEP systems are installed according to approved drawings, specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise Mechanical, Electrical, Fire Fighting, Plumbing, HVAC, and ELV system installations.
- Review MEP drawings, BOQs, specifications, and shop drawings before execution.
- Coordinate MEP activities with civil, structural, architectural, and interior teams.
- Ensure work execution complies with project specifications, local regulations, and safety standards.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of MEP activities.
- Conduct inspections and quality checks during installation.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and vendors for smooth project execution.
- Verify contractor bills, measurements, and work completion.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Resolve technical issues and provide engineering solutions at the site.
- Ensure testing, commissioning, and handing over of all MEP systems.
- Monitor material requirements and maintain inventory records.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety, fire safety, and statutory norms.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- Additional certification in MEP/HVAC/Fire Fighting is preferred.
Experience:
- 5-6 years of experience in residential, commercial, retail, or mixed-use real estate projects.
Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, Electrical, DG, STP, WTP, Lift, and ELV systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of MS Office and project management software.
- Understanding of IS Codes, NBC, and local building regulations.
- Experience in testing and commissioning of MEP systems.
