Job Description Zonal Credit Manager (Prime Home Loans)

Role Purpose

Lead the credit underwriting function for the assigned zone, ensuring high-quality credit decisions, portfolio quality, and adherence to the organization's credit policies while supporting business growth in the Prime Home Loan segment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end credit appraisal for Prime Home Loan proposals across the zone.
• Assess customer repayment capacity, income, banking, financials, and property-related risks.
• Review and approve loan proposals within delegated authority; escalate higher-value cases as per approval matrix.
• Ensure compliance with internal credit policies, regulatory guidelines, and risk frameworks.
• Drive portfolio quality by monitoring delinquency trends and recommending corrective actions.
• Partner closely with Sales, Credit Operations, Legal, Technical, and Risk teams to ensure timely loan processing.
• Conduct regular portfolio reviews and identify emerging credit risks.
• Mentor and lead zonal credit teams to improve productivity and decision quality.
• Support policy implementation and provide feedback for credit process improvements.
• Monitor turnaround time (TAT) and ensure timely credit decisions.
