Role & responsibilities

Advanced Clinical Care

• Perform complex dental procedures like root canals, crown and bridge preparations, and minor surgical extractions.
• Diagnose complex oral pathologies, periodontal conditions, and bite anomalies.
• Create comprehensive, long-term individualized treatment plans.
• Administer local anesthesia safely and manage acute dental emergencies.

Practice and Clinic Management

• Oversee daily clinic operations, workflow, and patient scheduling.
• Manage inventory, dental equipment maintenance, and material stock.
• Enforce strict cross-contamination and sterilization protocols.
• Maintain accurate, confidential electronic health records and treatment histories.

Leadership and Communication

• Counsel patients empathetically on treatment risks, options, and expected outcomes.
• Guide, train, and supervise junior duty doctors, interns, and dental assistants.
• Coordinate patient referrals with specialized practitioners like orthodontists or maxillofacial surgeons.
• Promote community preventive oral health initiatives and patient hygiene education.
