Usha Breco Limited (UBL), a pioneer in the field of transportation of passengers and material through the ropeways, was established in the year 1969. The founder, Mr. Basant Kumar Jhawar, was one of the first to start the concept of Build-Own- Transfer model in India, and commenced the first passenger ropeway at Maa Mansadevi, Haridwar. Today, the company transports above 8 million passengers annually with 8 operating ropeways under the brand name ‘Udan Khatola’, all through the B-O-T model(Build-Operate-Transfer). Today, Usha Breco has presence in all regions of the country: Gujarat, Uttrakhand, Kerala, and Odisha.With a high-level of expertise in the field of Industrial Ropeways, Cableways and Passenger Ropewaysand by adopting up-to-date Design Engineering and Modern Techniques in operation and maintenance, Usha Breco has emerged as a leader in the field of Aerial Ropeways in India.
