Technician (on Payroll of Quess Corp Limited)

Role & responsibilities

1. Site Operations & Maintenance

• Perform routine preventive maintenance of telecom tower sites.
• Conduct daily inspections of telecom infrastructure and associated equipment.
• Ensure uninterrupted operation of tower equipment and support systems.
• Monitor site health and report abnormalities promptly.

2. Fault Handling & Restoration

• Attend site breakdowns and emergencies within defined timelines.
• Diagnose and rectify faults related to power systems, batteries, DG sets, and passive infrastructure.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for issue resolution.
• Ensure timely restoration of services to maintain network uptime.

3. Energy and Infrastructure Management

• Monitor diesel consumption and DG operations.
• Conduct battery health checks and preventive maintenance.
• Track EB (Electricity Board) supply and related issues.
• Support energy-saving initiatives and compliance requirements.

4. Safety & Compliance

• Adhere to EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) guidelines.
• Ensure proper use of PPE during field activities.
• Follow standard operating procedures while working at sites.
• Report safety hazards and incidents immediately.

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Update maintenance records and service reports.
• Maintain site visit logs and fault closure reports.
• Capture site observations through field applications and reporting tools.
• Support audits by providing accurate documentation.

6. Vendor Coordination

• Coordinate with maintenance vendors, DG operators, and contractors.
• Monitor vendor performance and service quality.
• Verify work completed at sites and support invoice validation.

Preferred candidate profile

• Basic knowledge of telecom infrastructure and tower operations.
• Understanding of diesel generators, batteries, SMPS, and electrical systems.
• Troubleshooting and fault diagnosis skills.
• Ability to work in field conditions and travel extensively.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Familiarity with mobile applications and MS Office.
