Technical Lead

Key Accountabilities

• Produce high level design documents, including diagrams, data flows, error handling, SLAs/SLOs, and security details.
• Choose the right integration approach (REST, events, queues), define API contracts, versioning, and how to stay backward compatible.
• Make sure all non-functional needs are covered (performance, scale, reliability, monitoring, latency etc.).
• Review designs with Architecture and Security; maintain Architecture Decision Records (ADRs).
• Take part in an on call rotation support; lead root cause analysis and follow-up actions.
• Ensure compliance with privacy and security rules (PII handling, logging standards, audit trails, access controls).
• Turn campaign briefs into clear technical requirements and workflows; highlight any missing information.
• Work with Marketing and QA to run UAT; manage bugs and define what done looks like.
• Create A/B testing plans and set up the events/metrics needed to measure results.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong experience in at least one relevant tech stack (e.g., Node, Java, .NET, plus React or PWA).
• Cloud and infrastructure knowledge: CDN/WAF, SSL certificates, gateways, routing, security groups/NACLs.
• API and integration skills: REST, events/queues, caching, API security (OAuth2, JWT, HMAC), idempotency.
• Data understanding: segmentation rules, campaign eligibility logic, basic SQL and log analysis.
• Observability tools: logs, metrics, tracing (Grafana, CloudWatch, Datadog, ELK), dashboards and alerts.
• Testing: unit, integration, contract testing, plus load/performance testing and basic chaos testing.

Desirable Skills

• Ability to work well with different stakeholders (Marketing, Product, Operations, Vendors).
• Clear written communication: good diagrams, specs, and ability to explain risks.
