Job Description

Assistant Manager Security -Manufacturing Site

Assistant Manager Security at a Suzlon Manufacturing Site is responsible for ensuring the

safety, security, and protection of personnel, assets, materials, information, and operations

within the manufacturing facility. The role supports the Site Security Manager and ensures

seamless implementation of corporate security policies, statutory compliance, and

operational security controls. The Assistant Manager Security serves as the operational

backbone of site security, ensuring manufacturing continuity, protection of high-value solar

components, prevention of material losses, and maintenance of a safe working environment.

Through effective coordination of manpower, technology, and security processes, the role

directly contributes to asset protection, operational resilience, regulatory compliance, and

overall business performance of Suzlon's solar manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

1. Manage day-to-day security operations of the manufacturing plant, including access

control, surveillance, visitor management, and perimeter security.

2. Supervise security guards, security supervisors, and outsourced security agencies to

ensure effective deployment and discipline.

3. Monitor entry and exit of employees, contractors, visitors, vehicles, and material

movement to prevent unauthorized access and theft.

4. Ensure 24x7 functioning of CCTV systems, access control systems, boom barriers, fire

alarm systems, and other security infrastructure.

5. Conduct regular security patrols and inspections of production areas, warehouses,

finished goods yards, utility zones, and administrative buildings.

6. Prevent pilferage, theft, fraud, material diversion, and vandalism through effective

monitoring and investigation.

7. Lead incident response for security breaches, emergencies, protests, labor disturbances,

accidents, and other critical events.

8. Investigate security incidents and submit detailed reports with root cause analysis and

corrective actions.

9. Coordinate with manufacturing, EHS, HR, logistics, procurement, and administration

teams on security-related matters.

10. Ensure strict gate control procedures for inward and outward movement of raw materials,

finished products, scrap, and tools.

11. Conduct surprise checks and audits of security processes, registers, documentation, and

contractor compliance.

12. Maintain liaison with local police, fire brigade, intelligence agencies, industrial

associations, and district administration.

13. Support crisis management, business continuity, and emergency response plans during

natural disasters or operational disruptions.

14. Monitor contractor workforce activities and ensure compliance with site security rules

and safety regulations.

15. Prepare monthly security reports covering incidents, investigations, manpower

deployment, audits, risks, and improvement initiatives.
